Cinema is today the world's most entertaining and powerful medium. The advent of cinema has revolutionized the world of entertainment. Seattle International Film festival offers a bouquet of the finest in international cinema to its viewers. Its films inform, educate and entertain.

The 2006 International Film Festival came to an end on June 18. It showcased a variety of movies of all kinds. Some of the movies had a surreal and dream like quality, abstract cinema, a dance movie beautifully choreographed, showcased the best in cinematic art.

Most of its films belonged to alternate cinema which charters through new territory.

The Golden Space Needle Awards are presented to films chosen by the audience in 6 categories: Film, Documentary, Director, Actor, Actress and Short Film.
