Linda's Tavern recaptures the spirit of the Wild West. A stuffed buffalo head stares down at you from above the bar. The walls are adorned with Wild West paraphernalia.

This is otherwise a warm and friendly neighborhood tavern. It is a place where decent people can have some fun.

The pool tables attract crowds but you may have a long wait. Credit cards are of no use as they do not accept them.

DJs spin alternative beats every Monday and Thursday and the brand- wearing locals opt for pitchers of microbrew or vodka cocktails while bantering about bands and brands and politics.

The Southern fare menu includes chicken pot pie and meatloaf. It remains one of the favorite bars in the city serving good food and fine drinks.

A nice place for nice people, reads one blurb. Be prepared to wait in line for the pool table though and don't bring credit cards as they won't accept them.

It is also a place where you can mingle and strike up new friendships. Music here is great and raises your sprits.
