A beautiful Chinese garden is emerging in Seattle—a safe haven to escape from the stress and grind of everyday life.

The garden will be based on ancient China and will be the largest garden outside China. It showcases not only plants, but also stone, architecture and water elements that are customary to Chinese gardens.

The Seattle Chinese Garden, located at South Seattle Community College, will reveal spectacular views of downtown Seattle, Elliott Bay and the Cascade Mountains. The Garden will also feature 12 buildings, including an education center and a banquet hall with special event seating for up to 200 people.

This tranquil garden will reflect peace, balance and harmony of nature through yin and yang. It will also be a center for hosting community gathering.

The Seattle Chinese Garden will provide a place for community celebrations and personal tranquility through a beautiful and ancient Chinese experience.
